Understanding Hormonal Changes
Hormones influence everything from your mood and energy levels to sleep, metabolism, and reproductive health. When they fall out of balance—through menopause, stress, or lifestyle factors—you may experience symptoms such as:
- Hot flushes and night sweats
- Low energy or fatigue
- Mood swings, anxiety, or low mood
- Weight changes and bloating
- Brain fog or poor concentration
- Irregular or painful periods
- Reduced libido or vaginal dryness
- Sleep disturbances
Every woman’s experience is unique. That’s why we take the time to understand your story, your symptoms, and your goals before creating a tailored plan of care.
We can also support in coil removal too.
Our Approach
Our practitioners combine evidence-based medicine with a holistic perspective, supporting you both physically and emotionally through this transition.
We offer a variety of testing whether it is DUTCH testing (see dedicated page for this) or Homocysteine.
Homocysteine - a simple blood test.
Homocysteine is a naturally occurring amino acid produced as part of an essential process in the body called methylation. Measuring homocysteine levels can provide useful insights into how well certain biochemical pathways are functioning and may be a helpful marker when looking at overall health and well-being.
Homocysteine is part of the body’s methylation process - a key pathway that supports many essential functions.
Methylation - is a vital process
Methylation takes places in every cell of the body and plays an important role in DNA maintenance, neurotransmitter production, cellular repair and the regulation of normal bodily processes.
Nutrients Matter
This pathway relies on a range of nutrients, particularly B vitamins such as folate, B12 & B6, which help the body process and recycle the homocysteine.
Why homocysteine levels are important - When homocysteine is processed efficiently, levels general stay within a healthy range. Raised levels can sometimes indicate that nutritional needs, genetic factors or other influences may be effecting this pathway.
